I used to have this as a video in my YouTube channel, but I am no longer active on Youtube and have deleted all of my videos and playlists there.
Here is the written version of the meditation. Feel free to record it for yourself and play it, or let someone read it to you. Take your time.
The meditation is suitable for any deity. You can use it if you have already established a connection to a deity, but also if you are still in the process of doing this.
Make yourself comfortable. For this guided meditation, you can lie down or sit.
Close your eyes. Focus for a while on your breathing. Don‘t change it, just watch it. Deep breaths in … and out.
Scan you body. How does it feel? Where does the ground touch the backside of your body or your feet? If you feel any tension in your body, try to relax it a bit.
And again, take some deep breaths.
And now, this journey begins …
Before your inner eye, a landscape unfolds. This may be in a country where your deity has been worshipped in ancient times. Maybe you are now on a mountain, or in a desert. Maybe you are at a beach, or in a forest. Or you are in a different landscape.
Maybe the wind brushes gently against your face … Maybe you can see or hear some animals.
And maybe you can see an ancient temple in the landscape, or something else, like a cave or a huge tree.
You walk towards it and look at it closely. Maybe you can step inside it. Here, you meet your deity.
What do they look like? What do they wear? Maybe they have certain symbolic items with them, or are accompanied by one or more animals.
Greet the deity. Thank them for being there. Now, you have some time to communicate with the deity. Or maybe they do not talk with you, but show or give you something. Be open to this experience.
(Break)
When your conversation with the deity has come to an end, thank them and say fare well.
Listen to their answer …
You can now leave the place …
The landscape around you slowly fades away and so do the sounds and it gets quiet.
You can visit this place again another time.
Take a few deep breaths and come back to your every day life. Stretch a bit, wriggle your toes, open your eyes.
